GIRLS’ UNIFORM

BASIC ESSENTIALS

· *Plain polyester/viscose mid-grey skirt (this should be of a respectable length and no shorter than 3ins above the knee - (short, tight-fitting, jersey material skirts are unacceptable)

· *Plain polyester/viscose mid-grey trousers (jersey material, tight, skinny or bootleg trousers are unacceptable)

· White, or pale blue blouse (with collar)

· Navy blue blazer (with green braid and school badge)

· School tie

· Plain dark-coloured shoes (canvas, suede, high heels, stiletto heels, training or training type, ‘Doc Marten’ type and ’UGG’ boots are unacceptable) 

· Sandals - brown, blue, tan or black with support at the back of heel may be worn during the Summer Term

· For religious observance pupils are allowed to wear plain mid-grey headscarf, tunic and trousers

 

OPTIONAL ITEMS

· Plain navy blue, black, grey or flesh coloured tights

· Outdoor coats - may be light in colour but without motifs or logos (light coloured coats are more visible in Winter)

· Leather, and denim jackets are not acceptable

· Navy blue or Mid-grey V-neck pullover (sweatshirts or hooded sweatshirts worn      under blazers are not acceptable)

· Scarves worn to and from school are not to be worn in school buildings

 

P.E. KIT ESSENTIAL

· Red polo shirt

· Plain navy sweatshirt or plain navy fleece (no hoods)

· Blue football shorts

· Red nylon socks (winter)

· Trainers (with laces and ankle support)

· Shin pads

 

OPTIONAL ITEMS

· Plain navy blue tracksuit bottoms

· White cotton socks (Summer)

· Plain navy blue skort

 

PLEASE NOTE: Redhill School blazers (with braid and badge), ties and navy jumpers are only available from the school office.

· Plain dark-coloured shoes without metal tips (canvas, suede, training or training type shoes and ‘Doc Marten’ type boots are  unacceptable)

Additional Uniform Information

JEWELLERY
One flat ring is permitted.
One pair of (or one single) plain flat studs may be worn (these should not contain stones, logos or gems). Studs should be gold or silver and not be coloured plastic or other materials. Only one stud per each ear lobe is permitted.
Pupils are permitted to wear a wrist watch.
Bracelets, wristbands and necklaces are not permitted.
Pupils should not have any other piercings (e.g. nose, tongue, eyebrow, etc).

HAIR
Hair should not be shaved below a grade 2.
There should be no lines or patterns shaved into hair.
Hair should not be dyed in bright colours and should be natural colours only.
 

NAIL VARNISH
This is not permitted for any year group. Students will be asked to remove this if they arrive at school wearing nail varnish.
 

FALSE NAILS
These are not permitted for any year group. They can be a health and safety hazard especially in PE and other practical lessons and as a result are not permitted. Students will be expected to remove these if they do attend school wearing them.
 

MAKE UP
KS3 (Year 7 - 9): No make up is permitted.

KS4(Year 10 - 11): Very discreet make up is allowed but if make up is noticeable or over the top then a request will be made to remove it.
