SCHOOL UNIFORM and equipment

We are firm believers in a school uniform that is properly and consistently worn. We believe that this helps young people to develop a real pride in themselves and their school and to look smart helps them to think smart too. Uniform helps students to feel part of our community and makes the point that there is no discrimination. It sets a standard which supports our expectations of work and behaviour. We find it helps maintain the right environment for learning.

black socks only with school uniform - no white or other coloured socks.

Mid grey tailored shorts can be worn as part of the Summer uniform.

We have listened to our parents and whilst Totally uniform remains our preferred supplier of uniform, we have listed alternative uniform items below that would be suitable too. The main change for the academic year 2023-24 is the requirement for a pleated skirt and non-jersey trousers.

Brilliant Basics

Pupils require the listed contents every day for school and these will be checked daily during registration. Pupils can replenish items from the library for a small charge or use their credits to purchase items. As mobile phones and smart devices must be stored in bags at Redhill School, we advocate for a sturdy ruck sack large enough to contain A4 books and booklets. Bags should fasten completely with a zip so they contain the contents of bags securely. Bags with clasps or buttons are not suitable for school. Handbags, shoulder bags or pouches will not be permitted even as second bags.
