I would like to inform you all I have made the decision that this will be my final year at Redhill and I will be retiring as Headteacher at the end of the summer term. After completing 41 years in the teaching profession, I feel it is now time for me take up new challenges outside of school, perhaps at a slower pace.
This new version of the club is being supported by the Games Workshop through their excellent Schools Alliance Initiative and the huge help and generous advice and guidance of the local Games Workshop Store.
Redhill pupils achieved excellent results in the GCSE exams this summer across a wide range of subjects. The majority of exam qualifications have become increasingly difficult with new specifications and grading in subjects; but Redhill pupils responded magnificently to the challenge and recorded very good grades.
We have decided that since the England football team are playing in the World Cup Semi Finals on Wednesday, we will move our Summer Concert to Tuesday 10th July at 6.30pm, so that everyone can show support for the team.
Our raffle starts Monday 25th June. Proceeds are to fund better resources for our Learning Centre that ALL students will benefit from throughout their time at Redhill. Tickets are £1 each. They will be on sale at break and lunch times in the Library.
Today was the final greyhound session with our year 7 pupils. We had lots of fun competitions and games.
As thanks to the #greyhoundtrust we would like to raise some money and are hoping to do a sweet stall one lunch time. Hopefully with a guest appearance from some of the greyhounds themselves. Watch this space!
Many thanks to everyone who came and supported our Redhill's Got Talent Final last Wednesday! The atmosphere was fantastic. Including auditions, we raised an incredible £1400! Thanks again to everyone involved and well done to all our performers!
On Wednesday 14.3.18, Redhill hosted for the first time, a regional session of The Maths Feast, run by the Further Maths Support Programme. It is a Maths activities and problem solving competition for G&T, Year 10 students.
We are delighted to say that although a closely fought competition, with some extremely talented young Mathematicians, our Redhill team were the WINNERS!
Our Christmas Extravaganza on Friday 1st December raised a stunning £1938.05 for the school. Friends of Redhill are delighted with the support they received from pupils and the wider community on that evening. There were 26 professional traders selling quality goods and 20 classrooms in use with pupils running stalls and competitions. Even Santa was there and more than 50 children were able to meet him in person. Thank you to everyone who supported the event in any way.
