GCSE Results Day and Post Results Services

GCSE RESULTS DAY – THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST

After all the hard work, determination and effort you have put in over the last few years, Results Day is finally here!

Whatever Thursday brings, we want you to know just how proud we are of every one of you. Your GCSE results are an important milestone, but they do not define you, your abilities or your future. There are lots of different routes and opportunities available, and we will be here to celebrate your successes, answer your questions and support you with your next steps.

If you have any worries about your results or your plans, please don't panic and don't feel that you must work it all out on your own. Come and speak to us. We are here to help you explore your options and make sure you feel confident about what comes next.

If you have concerns about your grades or your place on a course, we also encourage you to speak directly to the college or provider you have applied to. They will be able to advise you about entry requirements, places and any alternative courses or pathways that may be available.

Results will only be issued to students. If a student is unable to collect their results, they have the following options.

• A student can nominate someone to collect their results on their behalf. The student must provide a letter which provides permission for a named person to collect their results. The school will retain this letter, therefore photos of consent on phones, or text messages will not be accepted. Emails will be accepted if they come directly from the student and it is sent to exams@redhill.dudley.sch.uk before results day. The named person must provide photo ID when collecting the results.

• Results will be available to view on EduLink (student access only). You will have access to EduLink until Friday 4th September 2026. • If your child has signed up to the new Education Record App, their results will be available on the app after 11am.

• Results can be posted if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is provided prior to results day. Please note, results cannot be posted until 20th August, therefore there will be a delay in you receiving the paper copy.

• Results that are not collected on the day will be kept in Reception and can be collected from Thursday 3rd September. Results will not be sent via email.

Additional support – Connexions Dudley

If you are unsure about your next steps, have received results that are different from what you expected, or would like to explore alternative options, Connexions Dudley Careers Advisers will be available to provide impartial information, advice and guidance.

When and Where : Friday 21st August – The Waterfront, Brierley Hill

Further advice, guidance and support will be available to help young people explore options including education, training, employment and apprenticeships.

Remember: one set of results does not determine your future. There is always another route, another opportunity and someone here to help you find it.

We can't wait to see you on Thursday between 9am - 10am and whatever your results, we are ready to celebrate with you and support you with whatever comes next.
