New Official Redhill School PE Kit

We have recently reviewed our current PE uniform, which we feel has become a little outdated over the past few years. At Redhill, we value our pupil voice, so as part of the review, we spoke to our pupils and they have said that they felt they wanted a more up to date kit, and girls in particular said that leggings would be a welcomed and more appropriate addition to the Redhill PE uniform. Thus, we have designed a PE uniform that we feel is smart and practical, but most of all will allow pupils to show pride in their learning, pride in our school community, and pride in our school identity.

Therefore, this summer, we will be launching our new PE Kit, which will be available to purchase for the new academic year. The full Redhill PE uniform will be compulsory for all of our Y7 cohort. However, if any pupils in other year groups wish to purchase the new style kit, or any items that they have outgrown etc., these will be available to order.

Currently we have lots of girls wearing Nike Pro style shorts, which we feel are (at times) impractical for PE lessons, and may pose some questions about safeguarding when pupils are wearing them on their way home from fixtures. So, as of September 2019, all girls will need to be wearing either: plain navy sports leggings (please ensure the material is appropriate for physical activity), plain navy tracksuit bottoms, or plain navy ‘football shorts’ for their PE lessons; girls will no longer be allowed to wear a ‘Nike Pro short’ style.

All of the Redhill PE uniform can be found at The Sports Shop Kingswinford, who will be our sole provider; these items can be ordered from their website or store at your earliest convenience and will be available for collection or delivery from mid-August. This will ensure the kit arrives in time for the new academic year. There will also be an opportunity to collect any orders from Redhill School before the new academic year begins on our INSET day on Monday 2nd September from 10am till 12:30pm.

The Sports Shop Kingswinford:

As always, we thank you for your ongoing support with these matters, and also for ensuring that our pupils are happy, proud and safe within their learning environment.
