CPDL

Our CPDL forum cycle for staff is designed to complement our curriculum framework and teaching and learning platform and develop highly effective teachers. The CPDL programme is underpinned by research and evidence informed practice and is agile and adaptive to respond to the needs of our school and the demands of the wider educational landscape.

READING STAFF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND LEARNING (CPDL)

We have built the principles below into our staff CPLD programme and have used them to build a Reading Toolkit that all teachers are now starting to embed into their day-to-day teaching.

Our Reading Principles:

  • Teachers plan and deliver activities using the ‘Redhill Reading Toolkit’, which will equip students with the ability to meet the demands of a challenging and rigorous curriculum.

  • Teachers use the ‘Reading Toolkit’ to plan and deliver adaptive and responsive lessons for all pupils.

  • Teachers ensure that there is a focus on disciplinary literacy: every teacher communicates their subject through its own unique language, and that reading, writing, speaking and listening are at the heart of knowing, doing, and communicating within each discreet subject.
